Sri Sankara Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Sri
Sankara Matric Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1989. It was
brought under the C.P.G. Educational Public Charitable Trust which was created
on 24th Dec 2001.
The
Chairman and the Managing Trustee is Thiru.C.P.G.Vettri Selvam. S/o
C.P.Ganesan, Kaduvangudi village Kollumangudi (post) Nannilam(TK). who has the
ambition to give quality education and to meet the educational needs of
children of the Peralam town panchayat Nannilam (TK) and Thiruvarur district
irrespective of caste, creed or religion. He desires to develop the young minds
into total and multisided personality which is the main objective of the
school. The school is located in beautiful scenic, pollution free and natural
surroundings.

Sri Sankara Matric. Hr. Sec . School was upgraded to middle school in 1998 and
it blossomed into a well equipped matriculation school in the year 1999. The
school sent the first batch of Std X students during the year 2000 and obtained
cent percent result. The school was upgraded to Hr.Sec.School in the year 2006.

On 20th april 2013,
619 school students, ranging from 11 years of age to 17 years, created a new
world record of remembering 200 random generated digits.

It was an amazing effort by
these predominantly rural based kids ! It required an extra ordinary level of
sustained concentration along with a vivid creative imagination. It was
deeply touched by the wonderful response of these children to the training
